A new feature on the blog where I want to present awesome things from my month that I want to share with everyone. Could be anything, but I want to try and do it at least once a month.
The first is this awesome book. Anyone who knows me, knows I love Harry Potter. I also love reading to my kids. My oldest read for themselves now, but my youngest I get to read to all the time. He is still a little young for this book, but when I saw it I had to buy it.
It is actually the full book, but it is filled with awesome little pictures of the world and the characters. I can't wait for my little buddy and me to read it together.
The next awesome thing is this book by Raymond Esposito (<--click me). I actually won this in a contest a while ago, but my reading pile is massive and I just got around to reading it. I will admit that I am not a huge consumer of all things Zombie. I love the Walking Dead, comic and show. I also love the comedic movies about zombies like Shawn of the Dead and Zombieland.
Still even I can tell that this book was a refreshing take on the "zombie" thing. I put that word in quotes because...well go read and find out. Honestly the book was really great and I enjoyed it thoroughly. This is the first book in the Creepers Saga and after reading I am thinking of rearranging my to-be-read pile to read the second one sooner.

Believe it or not, I've never read a Harry Potter book.ReplyDelete
Nice dragon! Very smooth.
I didn't read them for a long time. I thought they were just hype, but then one day I bought the first book and finished it in a night.Delete
I wuv your dragon. May I buy your dragon, or another dragon you make? I love all things Harry Potter. Although I'm 56, I await my invitation to Hogwarts. I bought all the American versions of the HP books for my daughter, and then as an investment, I bought her the first four books (first editions, first printings) in the UK versions. I'm not big time into zombies, but I edited a zombies book last month. I enjoyed it. I'll tell the world when it's published. It's called Sweet Tea and Zombies. It brings some humor to the gore. I like your new feature. Keep it up, and keep writing!ReplyDelete
I am still waiting on my invitation too. I would love to have a first print that would be amazing, those are some good gifts.Delete
That zombie books sounds fun. I like humor with my gore.
There is actually a sale going on in Amanda's Etsy shop she has some of my stuff in there. Here is a link.
But also you can shoot me an emmail with your colors and I can make you a custom one, with a special Janie price :)
I love your dragon. Has Father Dragon seen it? I also like the look of that version of The Philosopher's Stone. What a fun book with the pictures. I am not big time into zombies either, but there is a book coming out by David Powers King which I recently proofed for him, and it is a good story. YA.ReplyDelete
Thank you, I am not sure if he has. I drew him a picture once.Delete
It is a really cool book.
Oh that is awesome, I remember him talking about a zombie book a bit ago. Will have to be on the lookout for it.
That dragon is awesome, Brandon. You could sell those if you fancy another career, lol. I love Harry Potter as well. We even went to Orlando just to visit Harry Potter world exhibit.ReplyDelete
Thank you. I have wanted to go there for a while now we had planned to, but hen the little one came along.Delete
What a cool dragon! And I love that illustrated Harry Potter book. I'd start reading it to my little guy if I had it. Right now we're going through the Captain Underpants series. I really need something to cleanse my literary palate!ReplyDelete
Thank you. Yeah my older son loves the Captain Underpants and the Dairy of a Wimpy kid books.Delete
Hey Brandon, thanks for the call out. I'm honored to follow Harry Potter. And I agree with everyone else...that is an excellent dragon...can I get the price on one in black, red and green? lolReplyDelete
Np man, really enjoyed it. We all follow HP, lol. I will send you an e-mail.Delete

Great things here and I love the title. I'm grateful for the small and big pleasures in my life.ReplyDelete
They really are the important things when seen all together.Delete
LOVE the dragon, and a new version of the book with illustrations? Oh, we have to get that one. My 9 yr old has yet to hop on board with the HP craze, but the pictures would push him over the edge.ReplyDelete
Yeah I have already read through it myself, but my little man is growing fast won't be long before he is ready for it.Delete
Love the HP illustrated book and your dragon! Wonderful!ReplyDelete
