It never gets old.

No matter how old I get or what happens in my life, having a child will always amaze me. The idea that this little human, who I helped make, will depend on me to help him become an adult. In a lot of ways it is like helping write the most amazing story ever. It is the story of their life.

My children inspire me almost daily and I am very grateful to be a part of their lives. This was a picture that was taken in the hospital by their photo people and I just couldn't help sharing it with you all.

BLOGGER PAIN

Also on an unrelated note. Blogger/Google has been giving some people problems when they try to join someone's blog. This has recently become my problem as well. The worst thing about this is A-Z is coming up and more and more people keep falling prey to this.

There is a common "We're sorry, we are unable to handle your request. Please try again or return later." message when you try to join a blog. If anyone has advice, beyond reloading the gadget or reloading Chrome...or that something is blocking it, please say so in the comments. Hopefully they get this fixed soon as it has been going on for about two weeks now for most people.

Anyway, hope I can join some new blogs soon. As always, have fun and keep writing.

  1. This is one of the best baby pictures I've ever seen. That feeling never does get old. Every time we had another baby, we were overcome with the "let's have ten more!" emotion. (And then, of course, sleep deprivation took over.)

You're not the first person I've heard complaining about the Blogger subscription thing. I plan on keeping a notebook with "want to follow" blogs listed during A to Z if I run into that, as a temporary measure anyway.

    1. It is truly a special thing. One that I cherish.

Yeah not sure what it is up. In the comments below someone said they were doing away with it.

  3. They say a picture can say a thousand words, this one shows a thousand emotions. Or at least as a parent it reminds me of the feelings. I want one more! Ahem...maybe not lol.

Beautiful Boy...and powerful words: it is like helping write the most amazing story ever. :)

    1. A thousand indeed. You give up your time for sure, but it is worth it to have such a blessing.

From what I hear, GFC is going away. I use Feedly to follow blogs.

    1. Thank you.

I hadn't heard this. I know some were saying they thought it was to push Google Plus.

I have run into those issues with Blogger. Hope they're fixed in time for A to Z but I'm not optimistic.

  7. Hi Brandon...Congratulations...a very sweet photo and heartfelt post. Just wait til that baby has a baby and you get to experience the 'Older Version' of this never gets old feeling....Grandparenting!

I am a new follower...worked fine! I have solved the 'Follow Issue' by creating an 'AtoZ BlogRoll' of the Blogs I want to follow during the month of April. As you know it's on the Blogger Gadget List. I've placed mine right under my Participant Badge on the Sidebar. Nice to meet you and I look forward to your posts...I'm on AJ's Team as well.

  11. Beautiful picture Brandon. It's a humbling experience having a child. You can't imagine, BC (before child), how much love you can feel in your heart. It's also scary because everything we do goes into developing the adult they become. I've often said, when people asked why we chose for me to be a stay at home mom and leaving a successful career, that so far as I'm concerned the most important job I will ever have is raising my children. I still feel that way.

Yes, I've noticed the same difficulties when trying to sign up as a follower of some of the blogs. No answer for you. I just make note and come back later. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

  12. Beautiful picture. Congratulations. My daughter absolutely changed everything in my life, and I wouldn't go back for anything. My wife and I had three sons after she was born, each of them so unique... it's an amazing experience. I stopped by for the A-Z, but the baby pic caught my eye. Keep up the good work. I know last year I had a couple days I fell behind but caught back up. Life gets in the way, and these are often precious moments.

  13. Love the picture of you and your baby Brandon. Yes blogger has been giving me the same problem but only for a few blogs. One thing I did was I kept trying to join the blog as a follower, after several attempts I finally managed to do so. I would suggest make a note of the blogs you are unable to sign up as follower and try again after a few days.
