Quokka
Fun Facts: Besides looking like it was made at Pixar, the quokka is an interesting marsupial. A nocturnal animal found in Southern Australia, the quokka are herbivores. Because of their diet they can go months without drinking water at all.
Kind of cute. Never heard of it, but there are a lot of creatures on that continent that I've never heard of.
ReplyDeleteI had thought about doing the Quokka - friend from Oz suggested it. Glad I didn't now. It really is a cute little animal, didn't know about its ability to not drink for a while though.
ReplyDeleteThey are adorable. Do people keep them as pets? In a drought situation, being able to go without water that long... a HUGE plus.
ReplyDeleteI my gosh. I just want to take one of them home! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, another one I'd never heard of.
ReplyDeleteAwww....too cute! How sure are you they were NOT made at Pixar?
ReplyDelete(And hey, Axie wasn't jealous?)
Newborns are a handful, but so wonderful. I miss that stage.

Yay...another Q word/animal to use in Scrabble....course getting 2 k's might be a problem....let's go for Pixar. Cute drawing....and that little guy would make a good desert animal....no water needed. Thanks for your visits this week...more than 1/2 way through.

ReplyDeleteThat cute little creature looks kinda' like a confused kangaroo. Very interesting to look at. Good look with the solo newborn duty, my human friend.

That final photo is absolutely adorable. I would hug the little thing even if it tried to bite me to pieces.
ReplyDeleteSo. Cute.
ReplyDeleteThe quokka looks like a meerkat. Love your cartoon. Is that how you see the newborn? ;-) Oh, and newborn solo duty trumps all other time-consuming tasks. via A to Z Challenge www.evolvingenglishteacher.blogspot.com
